Miami, FL. (October 2025) Independent Living Systems (ILS), a leader in providing person-centered, comprehensive health and social care for vulnerable populations, is proud to announce a new strategic collaboration with Barry University’s newly restructured College of Health Professions & Medical Sciences. This partnership is designed to strengthen pathways for education, workforce development, and community impact.
Barry leadership recently signed a memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with Larkin University, Larkin Health System, and ILS to provide students with clinical training sites, research opportunities, and direct hands-on experience and pathways into the professional field.
This collaboration creates new pathways for Barry students, graduates, and ILS employees – bridging academic preparation with real-world experience and career growth in the healthcare field.
Key elements of the partnership to be developed could include:
