ILS Expands Board of Directors

New Members Include Former HHS Secretary, Health Policy Expert and Leading Healthcare Investors

Miami, FL, (March 13, 2012) “ Independent Living Systems LLC (ILS), a national leader in providing innovative long-term care, care management, post discharge and nutrition services to the elderly, dual eligible and special needs populations, today announced the appointment of four new members to its Board of Directors. The new appointments include Michael Leavitt, Chairman of Leavitt Partners and former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; Jay Rosen, health policy and economics expert at Health Management Associates; and leading health care investors Ann Lamont of Oak Investment Partners and Ruben King-Shaw of Mansa Capital.

Nestor Plana, President and Chief Executive Officer, Independent Living Systems, stated, These additions bring a wealth of experience in health care policy and economics, Medicare and Medicaid services, and long-term care management to our Board. We intend to leverage their expertise as we continue our focus on providing cost-effective long-term care solutions for the elderly population and expand our national footprint over the coming year.
