Florida Community Care Returns As A Top Sponsor of The Family Café for Third Consecutive Year

Miami, FL. (April 2026) Florida Community Care (FCC), the health plan subsidiary of Independent Living Systems (ILS), the nation’s largest Latino-owned healthcare company, will return as a top sponsor of The 28th Annual Family Café, taking place June 12–14, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando.

This marks the third consecutive year FCC has served as one of the event’s premier sponsors, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families.

Founded in 1998, The Family Café brings together thousands of individuals with disabilities, caregivers, advocates, and providers from across Florida for three days of education, resources, and connection. The event features breakout sessions, an exhibit hall, and specialized programming designed to support and empower the disability community.

FCC’s presence at The Family Café comes at a pivotal moment for individuals and families navigating services across Florida. As the health plan selected by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) to administer the state’s Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Comprehensive Managed Care (ICMC) program, FCC plays a key role in delivering coordinated care to eligible individuals with developmental disabilities living in Floridia.

The ICMC program provides members with access to Medicaid-covered services along with enhanced home and community-based supports, all coordinated through a dedicated care coordinator. By integrating medical care with social and community services, the program is designed to help individuals live more independently and better navigate their care.

“The Family Café holds a special place in our hearts. For the past three years, we’ve had the privilege of connecting directly with families and individuals across the state,” said Nestor Plana, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Independent Living Systems. “Through the ICMC program, Florida Community Care is helping bring together the services and support people need to live more independently. This work is deeply meaningful to us, and we’re proud to be part of this community.”

As a top sponsor, FCC will have a strong presence throughout the conference, including exhibit space where attendees can learn more about the ICMC program, connect with care coordinators, and explore available services. They will also host the FCC Discovery Hub, a place for kids to unwind and parents to relax in a supervised environment.
