CCE & HCE Lead Agency
ILS is Your Lead Agency
A “lead agency” is how the state Department of Elder Affairs and the Alliance for Aging refers to a trusted organization that provides Community Care for the Elderly (CCE) and Home Care for the Elderly (HCE) services. Lead agencies go through a competitive process to ensure they meet the highest standards.
ILS is one of three lead agencies for Miami-Dade County and the only lead agency for Monroe County. That means our programs are trusted to help older adults in these communities with in-home services.

Hospital 2 Home
ILS is a Hospital 2 Home provider for Miami-Dade County. The program started in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal was to prevent older adults from needing to go back to the hospital. With funding from the American Rescue Plan, we partner with the local Area Agency on Aging to provide in-home services. Examples include personal care, homemaker services and home-delivered meals.
Energy Assistance
ILS is an Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (EHEAP) provider for Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. Our case managers are fully trained to complete EHEAP applications for adults 60 and older who have a light bill that’s overdue or has a final notice.
Who Qualifies
Both the CCE and HCE programs are for adults ages 60 and older. The services you receive are based on health need and level of dependence. There is not a financial requirement. For HCE, you must have an eligible caregiver who provides ongoing support in your home.
