Miami, FL, (November 2024) – Independent Living Systems (ILS), a leading provider of health and social services for vulnerable populations in Medicare, Medicaid, and Dual-Eligible markets, proudly concluded 2024 with nearly $150,000 raised in employee fundraising and corporate sponsorships to support the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.
This achievement underscores ILS’s ongoing partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association and its commitment to advancing care, support, and research for those affected by this devastating illness.
This year, approximately 200 ILS employees, along with friends and family, participated in Walk to End Alzheimer’s events across the United States, including key locations in Florida, New York, and California. The company’s efforts placed it once again among the top national teams in fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Association.
“At Independent Living Systems, our mission extends beyond providing care—we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the most vulnerable,” said Nestor Plana, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of ILS. “The Alzheimer’s Association’s work is vital to so many families, and I am deeply proud of our team’s unwavering commitment to supporting this critical cause. Together, we are advancing hope, care, and research for millions impacted by Alzheimer’s disease.”
Employees rallied behind the cause with incredible enthusiasm, hosting bake sales, organizing raffles, and spearheading other creative initiatives to raise funds and awareness. Their dedication and teamwork reflect ILS’s core values of service and community engagement.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s events serve as a cornerstone in the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care and research. By participating in these events, ILS aligns its commitment to improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable populations with a broader goal of creating healthier, more resilient communities.
