Nolan Brings More Than 30 Years of Healthcare Experience to the ILS Team
Miami, FL “ Independent Living Systems (ILS), a national leader in providing innovative member-centric health solutions to Medicaid, Medicare, Dual Eligible, Special Needs, and Seniors & Persons with Disabilities populations, has appointed Timothy E. Nolan as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Nolan will report to Nestor Plana, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
In 1985 Nolan joined U.S. Healthcare, where he served eleven years in the capacities of Vice President of National Accounts, Senior Vice President, Chief Operations Officer, and Executive Officer. Following the merger of Aetna and U.S. Healthcare in 1996, Nolan served four years as Senior Vice President, Head of Operations, and then as Head of the Field Organization for the combined entity. Beginning in 2003, Nolan worked at Coventry Healthcare serving in roles which included Senior Vice President for Market Development, President and CEO of various Coventry affiliates, and Executive Vice President of Government Programs. Most recently, Nolan served as Meridian Health’s Executive Vice President.

Nolan received his Bachelor of Science Degree from De Sales University in Center Valley, PA and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from New York University in New York City, NY.
