Ward Tower Senior Center
Ward Tower Senior Center, in Miami, Florida, is a collective effort of the Miami-Dade County Public Housing Department and Independent Living Community Services Inc. (ILCS) to encourage and assist seniors with personal growth, maintenance of their independence, and overall well-being. Ward Tower services more than 500 community members by providing an array of home and community-based services to help seniors maintain independence as they age.

Ward Tower offers a number of amenities to residents and community members to support emotional and physical quality of life, including a fitness area, game room, library, adult learning classroom, and barber and beauty shops.
To encourage seniors to manage their health and provide the support they need to age in place, case management and social work support is available that provides individual assessments to identify lifestyle needs and services to promote overall wellness.
Partner with the Silver Sneakers program to offer fitness classes four days a week, as well as giving seniors regular access to cardiovascular exercise equipment.
Classes & Events
Keeping the mind and body active and engaged are keys to healthy living. Therefore, courses in computer literacy, nutrition education, and language education are offered.
Proper nutrition is vital to healthy aging. ILCS provides daily nutritionally-balanced hot meals to residents and surrounding members of the community as well as home-delivered meals to homebound seniors.
